Cooking Instructions

  • Start by rinsing the black beans thoroughly. Soak them overnight in plenty of water.
  • In a large pot, brown the sausage over medium heat until it's crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage and let it sit.
  • In the same pot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant, around 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the soaked black beans, rice, chicken broth, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and cover. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked sausage and let everything cook together for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm, and enjoy!

Optional: Garnish with fresh cilantro for an extra pop of flavor.
