For the Rice
- 2 cups Sushi rice
- 2.5 cups Water
- 1 3 Rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
For the Toppings
- 1 medium Avocado sliced
- 1 medium Cucumber julienned
- 8 oz Imitation crab meat
- 4 sheets Nori cut into strips
Steps to Prepare
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Cook the rice by combining it with water in a rice cooker until tender, about 30 minutes.
Heat a small saucepan on low and combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until dissolved.
Mix the cooked rice into a large bowl and pour the vinegar mixture over it, folding gently.
Cool the rice to room temperature before assembling.
Layer the sushi rice in serving bowls with avocado, cucumber, and imitation crab meat.
Top with nori strips for added flavor.
Serve with soy sauce on the side.
Optional: Add sesame seeds for an extra crunch.
