How to Make Caramel Apple Mini Galettes

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and granulated sugar.
  • Add the cubed butter to the flour mixture and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually pour in the ice water while mixing until the dough comes together.
  • Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  • In a saucepan, melt the granulated sugar over medium heat until it turns golden amber.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted.
  • Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring until smooth. Add a pinch of salt and let cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
