Ingredients

For the Crepes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

  • 1 cup powdered sugar optional
  • 1 cup fresh fruits like strawberries or bananas, optional
  • 1 cup whipped cream optional
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce optional

Instructions

Making the Crepes

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until the batter is smooth, then let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  • Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease the surface with butter or oil.
  • Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan. Tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden, then flip and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Take a cooked crepe and spread a generous spoonful of chocolate hazelnut spread in the center. Optionally, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
  • Gently fold the sides of the crepe over the filling, then roll it up tightly.
  • Arrange the rolled crepes on a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh fruits, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce if desired.
  • Serve warm to appreciate the melty goodness of the filling.

Notes

Allow the batter to rest for optimal texture. For best results, heat the pan adequately to create thin and crispy crepes.
