- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

- 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce for filling
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop out a portion of cookie dough, flatten it slightly, and add about 1 teaspoon of chocolate fudge sauce in the center.
Seal the fudge sauce by folding the edges of the dough over it, rolling into a ball.
Arrange the filled cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set while the centers remain soft.
Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
