  • 1/2 cup almonds chopped for a satisfying crunch and healthy fats.
  • 1/2 cup pistachios chopped for a pop of color and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots chopped to add a fruity tang that complements the chocolate.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon adds warmth and a hint of spice to the filling.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom brings an exotic flavor that elevates the bar.
  • pinch salt enhances the sweetness and richness of the chocolate.

Garnish (Optional)

  • chopped nuts sprinkle on top for extra crunch and visual appeal.
  • flaky sea salt adds a finishing touch that enhances the overall flavor experience.

Instructions

Making the Chocolate Bar

  • In a bowl, combine chopped dates, almonds, pistachios, dried apricots, cinnamon, cardamom, and a pinch of salt. Stir until everything is well incorporated and fragrant.
  • In a heatproof bowl, add dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and coconut oil. Melt them together using a double boiler or microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  • Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  • Carefully pour half of the melted chocolate into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly across the bottom to create a lovely base.
  • Evenly distribute the filling mixture over the first chocolate layer. Press it down gently to ensure it sticks and forms a solid layer.
  • Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the filling, using a spatula to spread it out and fully cover the mixture below.
  • Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until the chocolate is completely set and firm to the touch.
  • Once set, lift the chocolate bar out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or bars with a sharp knife.
  • Optionally, sprinkle with chopped nuts or a pinch of flaky sea salt before serving to enhance both texture and flavor.
  • Serve your delicious Dubai Chocolate Bars as a sweet treat or a delightful dessert!

Notes

For a fancy touch, drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.
