For the Pork Chops
- 4 pieces Pork chops bone-in or boneless
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme or dried if fresh isn't available
- 1 teaspoon Fresh rosemary
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Add the pork chops to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 4–5 minutes without moving them.
Carefully flip the pork chops and continue to cook for an additional 4–5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Set aside to rest.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic, cooking for about 1–2 minutes.
Stir in the thyme and rosemary, cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
Return the pork chops to the skillet, generously spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
Transfer the pork chops to plates and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
For best results, use a meat thermometer and let the chops rest after cooking to maintain juiciness.
