  • 1 tsp vanilla extract a splash of vanilla enhances the overall flavor profile.

Instructions

How to Make Holiday Truffles

  • In a saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just reaches a boiling point. Watch closely to prevent burning!
  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate placed in a mixing bowl. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes, so the chocolate can melt beautifully.
  • After 5 minutes, grab a whisk or spatula, and stir the mixture until it's silky and smooth. The warmth will help create a luscious ganache.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor. This little addition will take your truffles to the next level of deliciousness!
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until the ganache becomes firm enough to scoop. Your patience will be rewarded!
  • Using a melon baller or a small spoon, scoop out portions of the chilled ganache and roll them into smooth balls with your hands.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to give them a beautiful and classic finish. This adds a touch of elegance as well!

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with melted chocolate for an extra indulgent touch.
