For the Sandwich

  • 2 slices Bread Sourdough or whole wheat recommended
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 medium Jalapeños Adjust based on spice tolerance

For Spreading

  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise Or butter as a substitute

Instructions

How to Make Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese

  • In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, and diced jalapeños. Blend until well incorporated, then season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  • Generously spread the creamy cheese and jalapeño mixture onto two slices of your favorite bread.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top of the cheesy mixture to create two sandwiches.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add mayonnaise and let it melt.
  • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown.
  • If the bread browns too quickly, lower the heat slightly.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice them in half, and serve warm.
