Instructions

How to Make Key Lime Pound Cake

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a 10-cup bundt pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
  • Incorporate the large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl by whisking them together.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and whole milk into the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Blend in the key lime juice, zest, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan and bake for 70–80 minutes.
  • Cool the cake in the pan for 10–15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
  • Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled cake.
