For the Dough
- 12–14 oz Pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
For the Topping
- 1 tbsp Olive oil For brushing dough
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- 1 Lemon Thinly sliced
- 1.5 cups Mozzarella Shredded or sliced, preferably fresh
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- Black pepper Freshly cracked
- 1 tsp Thyme Fresh or 1/2 tsp dried
For Garnishing
- Chopped parsley For freshness
- Crushed red pepper flakes For a spicy kick
- Fresh arugula For garnish and flavor
Preparation
Preheat your oven to a sizzling 475–500°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up—it’ll create that perfect crispy crust!
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface, stretching it into a lovely 10–12 inch circle.
Brush the entire surface of the dough with olive oil, then scatter the minced garlic over the top.
Spread the mozzarella evenly across the dough.
Arrange the very thin lemon slices over the cheese.
Season with salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and thyme.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10–13 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown.
Drizzle a little olive oil on top and garnish with parsley, red pepper flakes, or fresh arugula.
Cool for 1–2 minutes, then slice and dig in!
For an extra sprinkle of flavor, add a dash of lemon zest before serving.
