  • 1 tsp Black pepper can swap for crushed red pepper for heat

For the Marinara Sauce

  • 2 cups Marinara sauce homemade sauce can enhance flavor

For the Topping

  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese or use provolone for different flavor

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and a golden color.
  • Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch diameter meatballs for even cooking.
  • Warm marinara sauce in a large oven-safe pan over medium heat until it bubbles gently.
  • Add meatballs to the simmering sauce and let them simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavor.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Notes

Optional: Serve with fresh basil for added flavor. Ensure meat mixture is well combined but avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
