Instructions

How to Make Pandoro Soft Bites

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, gently warm the milk and dissolve the dry yeast in it.
  • Pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until combined, then mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Knead the dough by hand for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Gradually incorporate the softened butter until fully absorbed.
  • Let the dough rise covered in a warm area for about 2 hours until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough, shape it into a round ball, and place into a pandoro mold.
  • Allow the dough to rise again for about 1 hour until puffy.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack and dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
