Ingredients

Candy Mix

  • 1/2 cup Water Helps dissolve the sugar.

Coloring

Instructions

Candy Preparation

  • Combine sugar and water in a sturdy saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Boil until the mixture reaches 300°F, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract.
  • Divide mixture into two bowls and color one half with red food coloring.
  • Pour both mixtures onto a greased surface and let cool slightly.
  • Cool slightly, then pull and shape the candy.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle melted chocolate over the shapes for an indulgent twist. Store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
