For the Syrup
- 1 cup Granulated sugar Provides sweetness
- 1/4 cup Light corn syrup Prevents crystallization
- 1/2 cup Water Dissolves sugar

How to Make Peppermint Marshmallows
Grease the baking dish generously with non-stick spray.
Mix granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until dissolved (5-7 minutes).
Beat egg whites in a bowl until stiff peaks form (3-4 minutes).
Slowly pour the sugar mixture into the whipped egg whites while mixing.
Stir in peppermint extract and salt until smooth.
Pour marshmallow mixture into the greased baking dish and smooth the top.
Let set at room temperature for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Dust with powdered sugar, cut into squares, and enjoy!
