  • 2 slices bread Choose your favorite type for a personal touch.
  • 2 slices cheese Opt for a melty variety like mozzarella or cheddar.
  • 2 tablespoons pesto Fresh or store-bought.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Use unsalted for better control over saltiness.

Instructions

How to Make Pesto Grilled Cheese

  • Generously spread 1 tablespoon of pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place 2 slices of your chosen cheese between the unpestoed sides of the bread.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and watch it melt.
  • Gently place the sandwich in the skillet, pesto side facing up. Cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich to cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and slice the sandwich in half.
