Making the Rolls
Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Mix melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring in a large bowl. Add the activated yeast mixture and stir well.
Add all-purpose flour and salt gradually, mixing until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Blend brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter until creamy.
Punch down the risen dough, roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the cinnamon filling over the rolled-out dough evenly.
Roll the dough tightly from one long edge into a log.
Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
Cover the rolls and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden on top.
Beat together softened cream cheese, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
Cool the rolls for a few minutes before spreading cream cheese frosting over the top.
Serve warm for the ultimate treat!
Optional: Drizzle extra cream cheese frosting on individual rolls for added indulgence.
