Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil.
  • Add rigatoni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine (if using). Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes until thickened.
  • Add cooked rigatoni to Bolognese sauce, tossing to combine.
  • Serve hot, garnished with parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when serving.
