For the Bisque
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 cups corn kernels fresh or frozen
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
For Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
For Garnishing
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
Cooking Process
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in corn kernels and cook for 5 minutes.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil, around 5 minutes.
Reduce heat, add shrimp, and cook until pink and opaque, roughly 3-5 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
