Ingredients

For the Sushi Rice

  • 1 cup Sushi rice short-grain rice
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

For the Filling

  • 1 pound Shrimp fresh and cooked
  • 1 medium Avocado sliced
  • 1 medium Cucumber sliced

For Assembly

  • 4 sheets Nori (seaweed) cut into boat shapes
  • to taste Wasabi for serving
  • to taste Soy sauce for dipping

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Make sure it’s fluffy and sticky.
  • Prepare the vinegar mixture by mixing rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir well until dissolved.
  • Combine the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice. Stir gently and cool in a shallow dish.
  • Boil the shrimp in salted water until pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Slice nori sheets into boat shapes using kitchen scissors.
  • Scoop sushi rice into each nori boat, pressing gently to hold the shape.
  • Top each boat with shrimp, avocado, and cucumber slices, arranging artfully.
  • Serve with wasabi and soy sauce on the side.

Notes

Optional garnish with sesame seeds for added flavor.
