For the Sushi Rice
- 1 cup Sushi rice short-grain rice
- 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Filling
- 1 pound Shrimp fresh and cooked
- 1 medium Avocado sliced
- 1 medium Cucumber sliced
For Assembly
- 4 sheets Nori (seaweed) cut into boat shapes
- to taste Wasabi for serving
- to taste Soy sauce for dipping
Cooking Instructions
Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Make sure it’s fluffy and sticky.
Prepare the vinegar mixture by mixing rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir well until dissolved.
Combine the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice. Stir gently and cool in a shallow dish.
Boil the shrimp in salted water until pink, about 2-3 minutes.
Slice nori sheets into boat shapes using kitchen scissors.
Scoop sushi rice into each nori boat, pressing gently to hold the shape.
Top each boat with shrimp, avocado, and cucumber slices, arranging artfully.
Serve with wasabi and soy sauce on the side.
Optional garnish with sesame seeds for added flavor.
