Instructions

How to Make Skillet Lasagna

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine with the meat mixture.
  • Add the broken lasagna noodles to the skillet and stir gently to coat with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, followed by a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Carefully drop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese on top of the lasagna mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

For the perfect skillet lasagna, break the noodles into smaller pieces and avoid overcrowding the skillet when browning the beef.
