Ingredients

For the Whipped Feta

  • 8 oz Feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or cream cheese for a richer option
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice fresh is best
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper to taste

For the Crostini

  • 1 loaf Baguette sliced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil for brushing
  • 1 clove Garlic optional, for rubbing

For the Hot Honey Drizzle

  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Red pepper flakes adjust to taste

Optional Toppings

  • 2 tbsp Fresh thyme or basil for garnish
  • 2 tbsp Crushed pistachios or walnuts for garnish
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest for garnish
  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate arils for garnish

Instructions

How to Make Spicy Whipped Feta Crostini with Hot Honey

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) for crispy crostini.
  • Brush both sides of baguette slices with olive oil. Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden and crisp. Optionally rub with garlic.
  • In a food processor, blend crumbled feta, Greek yogurt (or cream cheese), olive oil, and lemon juice until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, warm honey with red pepper flakes for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let it infuse for 10 minutes.
  • Spread the whipped feta on each toasted baguette slice generously.
  • Drizzle the hot honey over the whipped feta on each crostini.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs, nuts, lemon zest, or pomegranate arils.
  • Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

Blend feta and yogurt until smooth for the best texture. Serve immediately for optimal crispness.
