For the Sandwiches

  • 8 slices bread choose your favorite, whether white, whole grain, or sourdough
  • 2 cups cooked turkey perfect for using up leftovers or store-bought rotisserie turkey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce homemade or canned
  • 4 slices cheese cheddar or Swiss work beautifully

For Cooking

  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine if needed
  • salt season to taste
  • pepper season to taste

Instructions

How to Make Turkey Cranberry Grilled Sandwiches

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • On the unbuttered side of half the slices, stack turkey, cranberry sauce, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered sides facing up.
  • Warm a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.

Notes

For a dipping option, serve with a side of extra cranberry sauce.
