For the Sandwich
- 4 slices Sourdough bread Crispy on the outside and soft inside.
- 8 oz Cooked turkey breast Use leftover turkey.
- 4 tbsp Pesto Aromatic herb paste.
- 4 oz Mozzarella cheese Melts wonderfully.
- 1/2 cup Sun-dried tomatoes Optional but recommended.
For Grilling
- 2 tbsp Olive oil For brushing on the outside.
Preparation
Spread a generous layer of pesto on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
Layer half of the slices with cooked turkey breast, mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes if using.
Preheat your panini press or heat a skillet over medium heat.
Brush the outside of each sandwich lightly with olive oil.
Grill the sandwiches on the panini press or in the skillet for about 3-5 minutes on each side.
Slice the panini melts in half and serve warm.
Optional: Add a sprinkle of fresh basil for extra flavor.
