How to Make Veggie Mac and Cheese
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. This usually takes about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until bubbly, ensuring it doesn't brown.
Add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper to the melted butter. Stir continuously until you create a smooth paste, about 1-2 minutes.
